It began with a wooden door
Derwaza began with a simple memory: an old wooden door, and late afternoon light falling through a mashrabiya to draw a pattern on the floor. The pattern shifts every minute and never repeats. That pattern became the whole idea of the house.
A pattern that never repeats
We are not selling a scent. We are selling the moment you walk in and know you have arrived.
Slowly, and by hand
We source our wood from people we know, and we look at it with our own eyes before we buy it. The oil is aged slowly. The bukhoor is broken and blended by hand. Every box is filled and sealed in Kuwait, and nothing leaves us until we are happy with how it smells.
